System Lead for Mental Wellbeing
Administration

This is a Greater Manchester Health Care and Partnership post. Manchester CCG or Greater Manchester Combined Authority will host the employment of this post on behalf of the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP).

On April 1st 2016, through devolution, Greater Manchester took charge of our Health and Social Care.
The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) is the body made up of the local NHS organisations and councils in Greater Manchester, which is overseeing devolution and taking charge of the £6bn health and social care budget.

Our vision is “to deliver the greatest and fastest possible improvement to the health and wellbeing of the 2.8 million people of Greater Manchester”.

As part of this vision, the Greater Manchester Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy also launched in the same year with a key focus on shifting the focus of care to prevention, early intervention and resilience and delivering a sustainable mental health system in GM, enabling resilient communities, engaging inclusive employers and working in partnership with the third sector to transform the mental health and wellbeing of GM residents.

In order to deliver these ambitions, and our commitments as a signatory to the national Prevention Concordat for Better Mental Health, we are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, skilled and highly motivated person to provide crucial system leadership around mental wellbeing in Greater Manchester

Working across organisations and systems, this person will be responsible for enhancing the profile and response to improving mental wellbeing in GM, with an initial focus on:
• Leading the delivery of a funded programme of work aiming to transform the way mental wellbeing is understood and approached by all of GM’s citizens and workforce, improve access to supportive training and resources, and address the barriers faced by some communities of interest.
• Providing leadership in shaping and implementing the GM commitments as a signatory to the Prevention Concordat, ensuring that these are translated into meaningful action and effective delivery.
• Co-ordinating the development and implementation of an overarching strategic vision for Mental Wellbeing in Greater Manchester.

This is a 0.5wte (18.5 hours per week and salary pro rata) role and is available as a fixed term contract or a secondment until 31st March 2021.

Interviews will be held on 3rd September in central Manchester. Alternative interview dates are unlikely to be made available should the requisite pool of candidates be identified.
