Senior Commissioner Manager – Mental Health and children and young people’s Commissioning (this is a full time position, part time hours will be considered)

Manchester Health and Care Commissioning is a dynamic and innovative place to work. We are currently undergoing an exciting period of change and we are seeking motivated, patient focused leader to join the team working across education, health and care.

The Mental health and children’s commissioning team are a team of recently joined health and social care commissioners and we commission services for the City of Manchester. We are looking to recruit to this senior role to develop and increase our capacity and capabilities.

As Senior Commissioning Manager you will work in partnership with Manchester city council and other MHCC directorates to deliver an integrated approach to the commissioning of mental health services. We are looking for someone, ideally, with knowledge of mental health commissioning or provision, who is able to provide expertise and leadership, but we also welcome more generic skills such as integrity, motivation, and ability to problem solve and reflect and to work as part of a team.

You should have a flexible approach to and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, health care professionals, patients and family members. A genuine focus on developing and engaging staff so they can feel proud of their achievements is essential.
