On 1 April 2016 Greater Manchester (GM) took charge of our Health and Social Care. The GM Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) is the body made up of the 37 NHS organisations and councils in the city region, which is overseeing devolution and taking charge of the £6bn health and social care budget.
Our vision is “to deliver the greatest and fastest possible improvement to the health and wellbeing of the 2.8 million people of Greater Manchester”.

We are seeking a motivated and talented person to work as a Project Support Officer to support activities to ensure the delivery of the workforce required to implement the Greater Manchester (GM) Mental Health and Wellbeing strategy and NHS England Five Year Forward View for Mental Health. In particular, this role will focus on the Adult Mental Health Workforce agenda.

Under the direction of the Mental Health Workforce Lead, the post holder will assist with the development and implementation of complex, high value projects and initiatives, taking direct responsibility for administrative and project support.

The Project Support Officer will assist with co-ordinating resources effectively, ensuring that project documentation is prepared and shared in accordance with project timetables and deadlines. They will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and with colleagues in staffing, finance, ICT and beyond.

You will need to be flexible, have a wide range of organisational and project support skills and be able to work with autonomy. You will be supporting a team delivering a transformation of mental health services across GM over the next few years, and your work will be essential to ensure that we reach the level of quality and outcomes we are aiming for.
