Role Title: Communications & Behavioural Change Officer
Contract: Full time fixed term position to cover maternity leave for up to 9 months
Salary Scale: £22,911 to £30,507 dependent on experience
Location: Churchgate House, 56 Oxford Street, Manchester M16EU

Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has become available in the Waste and Resources team that would suit an individual who enjoys working with the community and is passionate about the environment.

The role is working in our communications team to deliver behaviour change recycling campaigns across Greater Manchester in partnership with the local councils; including giving presentations to community or tenant groups and designing a range of marketing materials such as leaflets, newsletters, blogs and social media posts.

We are looking for an individual who is flexible, innovative and can communicate effectively to a full range of stakeholders including members of the public, local authorities and contractors. You will have good organisational skills, the ability to work across teams and in a fast paced environment.

Experience of community engagement is essential. 

You will be educated to a high standard, a relevant professional qualification in communications or marketing is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of the waste industry/local Government/environmental services sector/recycling sector is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

A secondment opportunity will be considered.
