Role Profile

Your role: 

Providing finance and procurement systems support to a range of both internal and external users ensuring workflows, processes and procedures within the systems are used to the best functionality and capacity ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency. Involvement of development plans to provide a better user experience. Maintaining and cleansing data held within the systems.

About you -

Successful candidates will be proficient in the implementation of the development and improvements to IT based finance and procurement systems, you will utilise your excellent communication skills to understand the needs of the users and to convey complex information and guidance to the users. You will have an understanding of the financial controls required within systems and procedures and be able to test and review against financial regulations.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is a new statutory body formed in 2011. From 2017 Greater Manchester alongside other city regions now has an elected Mayor who along with the GMCA has additional powers and responsibilities devolved to it from the Government. The GMCA gives local people more control over issues that affect their area. It means the region speaks with one voice and can make a strong case for resources and investment. It helps the Greater Manchester region achieve its full potential. It is a relatively newly formed an organisation so offers staff exciting opportunity to shape its values and culture over the coming months.
