Salary: £23,541 to £27,041

Hours: 36.25 Hours per week 

Contract: Full time, fixed term contract – 6 months (with the possibility to extend)

Your role: - 

 

The Waste and Resources Team is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Communications Officer. You’ll be working within our Campaigns Team, responsible for delivering engaging and high-profile communications relating to recycling and waste minimisation. You will develop innovative and effective communications to encourage residents to recycle right and reduce household waste.

 

Your duties will include copywriting, creating engaging social media content and shaping key campaign messages. You’ll also support the wider Campaigns Team in encouraging behaviour change by engaging directly with residents across Greater Manchester.

 

About you: - 

  
This role would suit an individual with previous experience in communications, campaigns or marketing role. You will be able to manage multiple priorities and apportion time effectively. You will have a good all-round knowledge of different online communication channels both and have an eye for detail to develop high quality copy targeted to different audiences.

You will be a good communicator and able to work across a multi-functional and busy team and be able to build up good working relationships with partners and other stakeholders to gather information and provide regular updates and project evaluation.

Knowledge of the waste industry is beneficial but not essential.
