Violence Reduction Partnership Lead
Leadership

Job Title: Violence Reduction Partnership Lead
Salary: Grade 11 - £50,682 - £55,159 (subject to job evaluation review)
Contract: Fixed Term, Full Time
Hours: 36.25
Location: Violence Reduction Unit at Stretford Police Station, but will cover the Greater Manchester city region.

Role Profile

Greater Manchester Combined Authority are inviting candidates to do a personal statement of no more than 1000 words on their suitability against the role profile for the role of Partnership lead for a 12 month secondment or 12 month fixed term contract to the establishing Violence Reduction Unit. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on Greater Manchester’s understanding of and response to serious violence across the city region, working with a range of partner organisations to shape and deliver effective strategies, policies and interventions to make a significant impact on the root causes of violence.

Under the Home Office’s Serious Violence programme, funding has been made available to establish a Violence Reduction Unit in Greater Manchester.  We require a Partnership Lead to support the establishment, development and day-to-day management of the Unit, alongside the Superintendent with responsibility for Violent Crime from Greater Manchester Police.  The successful applicant will have proven experience in developing partnerships with key stakeholders and delivering partnership programmes, and will be able to ‘hit the ground running’ to establish relationships and set up wholly new processes from scratch in a very short timescale.  They will be working side by side with partners representing education, the VCSE sector, health, police, youth justice, youth empowerment and public health, to build the foundations of a long-term solution to serious violence in Greater Manchester.

This post will be based with the Violence Reduction Unit at Stretford Police Station, but will cover the Greater Manchester city region.

INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 1ST AUGUST
