Project Manager Learning Disabilities and Autism Complex Needs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced project manager to support the Learning disability and Autism Programme, particularly concentrating on the Greater Manchester collective needs work. The role will include:

Providing support to Greater Manchester’s complex needs work and working with local teams to support the community infrastructure, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of agreed elements within time, budget and quality.

Supporting the GM partnership and NHSE to achieve the trajectories on the reduction in reliance in inpatient care

Work closely with local teams, specialist support teams and other stakeholders to ensure individuals have high quality care and person support packages that are appropriate to individual needs. Promoting the value of co-production with providers, users, carers and partners will be key

Working with our specialist providers in developing services across the GM community.

Continuously reviewing and improving the work programme and enabling key partners to deliver on the same. Providing reports to support assurance on progress and delivery

Manage risk and issues and escalate as required.

The successful post holder will provide a level of leadership across the GM LDA programme in relation to the relevant area of work including a commitment to service improvement across GM locality/cluster footprints within a quality and value-for money framework. This may also involve providing clinical input so experience in a healthcare or social care setting is valuable. As such, the post holder will have:

Knowledge of the learning disability and Autism Programme and the political agenda

Experience of project management and capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes, adjusting plans and resources accordingly.

Proven influencing and negotiating skills and confidence in providing constructive feedback and challenge where required

The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with professional groups and senior managers within the organisation and in other agencies that demonstrate credibility.

Ability to maintain focus and objectivity under various conditions -

Excellent communication skills both written and oral

This role will be critical in supporting the GM LDA complex needs work, If you’ve got what it takes to deliver our vision, we would love to hear from you. Selection will be by paper shortlist, followed by a panel interview to be arranged for week commencing
