Your role: We are looking for a committed and experienced professional who has the flexibility and willingness to work across the breadth of activity involved in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). You will be helping to deliver the coordination and facilitation of our Progressive EDI activities linked to our EDI Strategic ambitions for the organisation. Working across the service to increase awareness of EDI groups and engage staff and volunteers to become Active Allies as stated in The Equality Duty, which has three aims. It requires public bodies to have due regard to the need to: Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment, victimisation and any other conduct prohibited by the Act. Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it and foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it. Continually improving our inclusive culture, striving for excellence together.

 

About you: This is a varied, exciting and challenging role, and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to help foster our inclusive culture of excellence. You will bring a talent for supporting and engaging with people, as you will be regularly liaising with internal colleagues and other stakeholders. Enthusiastic and motivated, you are a role model for those around you, bringing your authentic self to the workplace.

You are able to take the lead yourself and bring your own creativity and experience to the team, while embracing the culture and processes of our service. As a Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role to administer, coordinate and assist the EDI Manager and other specialist departments embed excellent EDI practice.
