The demand for digital communication has never been more apparent than during 2020 – virtual working and digital communications have become essential.

Our Communications and Engagement team supports the work of the Mayor of Greater Manchester and Greater Manchester Combined Authority, including Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

We’re looking for a creative individual with a passion for digital to support our Communications and Engagement team, primarily our digital content officers, the graphic designer and videographer/photographer.

Help us tell the story of Greater Manchester and the work being done across a range of priority areas for our city region – from the environment and young people, through to fire and rescue and improving outcomes for older people.

 

About you:

 

The role requires the ability to be able to write to a good standard, work with a range of digital tools, and have experience of using various social media platforms and content management systems.

We need someone with an aptitude for the creative and the technical to help us deliver high quality digital content across our websites, social and online events.

You’ll be:

·         a good communicator with creative flair and an eye for engaging graphics

·         a quick learner with a knack for testing and troubleshooting

·         adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to switch between different tasks to support colleagues

·         great in a team or working on your own
