Head of Primary Care

We are looking to recruit an interim Head of Primary Care on a 12 month fixed-term or secondment basis to lead the delivery of our key strategies and plans for the commissioning of primary care including primary care development, quality improvement and engagement with practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), neighbourhoods, and provider organisations.

You will play a lead role in MHCCs transformation and development programmes, leading on specific project and service developments ensuring our vison and strategies for primary care reflect cutting edge national and international policy and practice and are built around the needs and expectations of Manchester’s population, service users and carers.

To succeed in the role, you will have a demonstrable track record of working within or commissioning Primary Care and extensive knowledge of primary care and proven experience of working at a senior level across organisational boundaries and disciplines.

Political astuteness, determination and proven people management skills will be key to delivering transformational change within a complex system. An effective communicator you will also be able to quickly build effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be joining an innovative, outcomes focused, fast paced team where opportunities exist to grow and develop your knowledge and skills.
