Are you seeking an opportunity to have direct influence over the future of transport in the UK’s largest and most dynamic city-region working at the forefront of the devolution agenda?

Greater Manchester licensing authorities are working with TfGM on a ground-breaking project to improve the standards of taxis and private hire services across the city region.

This exciting work is now at a stage that requires dedicated support to drive the project forward, we therefore have an opportunity for someone to work closely with GM Licensing Managers and TfGM on policy and implementation development, and to liaise with the taxi and private hire trade and other stakeholders. In this role you will help influence the national policy agenda around taxis and private hire. The role also presents a unique opportunity to help drive a high profile reform project which will deliver real benefits to the public and the trade.

You will have an understanding and experience of local authority licensing practice and legislation as well as policy development. You will also be comfortable with working to tight deadlines and keeping multiple stakeholders briefed in the context of a dynamic policy agenda.
