Population Health Analyst
Administration

This is a Greater Manchester Health Care and Partnership post. Manchester CCG or Greater Manchester Combined Authority will host the employment of this post on behalf of the Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP).

Population Health Analyst – Unified Population Health Intelligence System

Fixed Term Contract or Secondment until 31st March 2020

Salary: NHS Band 7 (£37,570 to £43,772, salaries as of 1st April 2019)

If you are passionate about using good data and intelligence to transform the health of communities and working with other analysts to identify and share best practice then look no further!

The devolution of Health and Social Care to Greater Manchester (GM) has provided an unprecedented opportunity to for us to significantly improve health outcomes for local people through a wider-ranging focus on health services, personal behaviours and the wider determinants of health.

The GM Population Health plan has provided the platform upon which we can pursue “a radical upgrade in the health of the population” by prioritising prevention, early intervention and person / community centred approaches. However, if Population Health is to be the cornerstone of transformation efforts across Greater Manchester, then Population Health intelligence and analytics need to meet this ambition.

As part of realising these ambitions, we are developing a Unified Population Health Intelligence system which will produce high quality intelligence, analytics and insight that will empower and enable GM Health and Social Care partners and the 2.8 million residents of GM to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes of the GM population.

In order to support the 10 local authorities of GM to develop a population health intelligence infrastructure, we are seeking a skilled and motivated analyst with an appetite to work in varied environments. The successful analyst will join a team closely aligned with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), who collaborate with local authorities across GM to complete a range of analytical activities.

This role is available as a secondment until 31st March 2020, with the potential for a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2020 where a secondment is not feasible. Individuals seeking a secondment should discuss this with their current employer in advance of making an application.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 31st March 2019. Interview dates are still to be confirmed, but will likely take place on the week commencing Monday 8th April 2019.
