Do you want to make a difference to thousands of young people aged 11-19 in Oldham and Greater Manchester (GM) as part of a GM wide drive to improve young people’s life chances? Do you want to work as part of a well-established dynamic team in a stimulating environment?
We are looking to appoint a unique individual for a long-term maternity cover to take on this is a critical role within the Work and Skills team at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and support our well-established network of schools and businesses in Oldham. The role will help us deliver on our exiting and ground-breaking approach to careers and enterprise development for young people.
Working closely with other Careers and Enterprise Coordinators, Work and Skills colleagues, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, government departments such as the Careers and Enterprise Company, voluntary organisations, businesses, schools and colleges as well as a range of local authority partners you can help us create the best chances for some of Greater Manchester’s most vulnerable young people and help close the skills gap where:
· Young people have the success to succeed in work and life
· People can improve their skills to help businesses compete globally
· People will get the support they need to work and thrive.
Greater Manchester is at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse and nationally at the forefront of devolution so we are looking for people who can talk about leading change but who can also roll up their sleeves and deliver it.
