Your role:
As an Operational Risk Technician, you will work as part of a team of specialists reporting to the ORT Manager. Your core role will be to undertake site inspections and support operational crews in the gathering and recording of operational risk information.
You will also deliver risk information training to operational teams and assist in the quality assurance process by ensuring that records are maintained in an accurate, consistent and timely manner.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have experience of in a UK fire and rescue service, in a similar role or organisation.
You will have a sound knowledge of the built environment including building design and elements of construction, facilities and fixed installations used by fire fighters at incidents, hazard and risk principles.
You will also be required to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, a reasonable knowledge of IT systems and the ability to work as part of a high performing team. You will be committed to diversity, inclusion and staff engagement in accordance with GMFRS core values.
