If so, then we have a fantastic opportunity to lead a programme of work that will implement transformational change in the way in which information and data are governed and used within the GMCA and across Greater Manchester public service delivery!

Over the past couple of years’ the landscape with regards information and data has been changing in GM at a rapid pace. This requires an IG approach that is modernised, accessible and consistent across public service delivery in GM.

As the Information Governance Change Programme Manager you will successfully manage complex programmes of work relating to the GM Information strategy and delivery of the framework as well as ensuring the GMCA’s own IG implementation plan is delivering.

The role will work to support the Assistant Director of IG and DPO in ensuring the programmes are delivered and provide assurance to the Chair of the GM Information Board. This is a multi-dimensional role which will be both challenging and very rewarding. It is an opportunity to build on your Programme Management skills and to drive real change across both the organisation and the Greater Manchester region.

You Will…

·         Be a passionate change professional with experience of delivering change within complex environments.

·         Set the standard for programme and project management within the team.

·         Engage with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to gain buy in and drive change.

·         Through your drive and energy, create excitement regarding the programmes of work, attracting strategic partners and forging effective and sustainable professional relationships.

·         Manage and control programme budgets, and allocate resources appropriately across projects.

·         Have line management responsibilities for the team Project Manager(s).

·         Hold a relevant Programme Management qualification or have significant experience in change and transformation in the public sector.

·         Understand the political landscape of a devolved region and the role a combined authority plays in delivering change to the people of, and who visit, Greater Manchester.

·         Create reports and dashboards which provide senior leaders with the ‘need to know’ information regarding project and programme progression.

·         Explore different ways of working with the other senior members of the team to be enable the team to deliver results.
