Your role: 

 

The Workplace Tutor role will be required to support learners on accredited programmes of study, including Apprenticeships, SfJ qualifications and Institute for Fire Engineering exams.

 

Within our growing team made up of operational and non-operational staff, each Workplace Tutor will carry a specific reference in a topic area that relates to either an element of Apprentice assessment, Staff development, learner progress or promotion.

The successful candidate will play an active role in the quality assurance and continuous improvement of training and act as point of contact for advice and support in relation to training programmes across GMFRS.

 

About you: 

 

The ideal candidate will be familiar with a range of accredited outcomes and have experience supporting learners and developing staff in the workplace.

 

The individual we are looking for will be able to work with a variety of different stakeholders in order to support the development of learners towards maximising their full potential.

 

We are looking to engage with candidates who are keen to professionally and personally develop in the field of training and development, and we are committed to investing and supporting those that do.

 

Experience and qualifications:

 

·       Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent 

·       Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance (TAQA) qualification

·       ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching and mentoring or equivalent

·       Experience of providing guidance and support to learners in the development of skills, confidence and knowledge

·       Experience of integrating high quality assessment practices in different environments to inform decisions
